About Caroline Ellison Counselling
Hello, my name is Caroline Ellison and I am a counsellor in Fleet, Hampshire which is on the borders of Hampshire and Surrey.
Are you struggling with anxiety, bereavement, low mood, irritability, being overwhelmed, relationship challenges or generally just don’t feel good about yourself?
Whether you are looking to cope with a specific mental health issue, better manage unpleasant emotions or simply want to feel better about yourself, help is available.
Counselling provides an opportunity for you to talk about your concerns in a confidential and safe environment. By talking through your concerns, you will deepen your understanding of what is happening and develop alternate ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. My goal as an integrative therapist is to help you develop these skills, and to uncover your unique and innate abilities to successfully manage your emotions, relationships and concerns.
I believe kindness, compassion and understanding are the cornerstones of life and as an integrative therapeutic counsellor I am able to work with a wide range of approaches and will work collaboratively with you providing a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space to express and process your emotions.
I offer face-to-face and online counselling from my counselling cabin in Fleet, Hampshire. I am a Registered Member of the BACP and work with adults and carers to support and improve their mental health and emotional well-being, aiming to restore balance in life.
I have experience and work with a wide range of issues such as:

SPECIAL INTEREST
I have a personal and special interest in grief and loss associated with those who are caring for a loved one or working as a carer for someone with long term and life limiting illness such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Cancer. This also includes counselling professional carers.
Caring for a loved one or working as a carer may leave you with feelings of isolation and loneliness. This can become overwhelming and lead to anxiety, depression, grief and more. As your counsellor I offer a space to talk where I will listen and help steer you through. I understand how the feelings of fear and apprehension about ‘what to do’ and ‘how to do it’ for example, may weigh heavily and talking through your feelings in a safe and confidential space may help.
CANCER COUNSELLING EXPERIENCE
For the last couple of years I have been volunteering at the Fountain Centre, an independent charity supporting patients and carers affected by cancer based within St Luke’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford, Surrey. Anxiety, depression and bereavement are just some of the areas I work with Fountain Centre clients. Working with Carers and Patients with life limiting illness has been and continues to be some of the most rewarding work I have ever done. It is an honour and a privilege to do this work.
ALZHEIMER'S AND DEMENTIA EXPERIENCE
My personal experience is my Mum. Mum has lived with Dementia since 2012 and I have watched her slowly disappear into a world of her own as the illness has stripped her cognitive function away piece-by-piece. All the time my Dad has been her carer and looked after her tirelessly and I have watched first hand what truly being in love means. This is one of the things that has inspired me as a counsellor to offer Alzheimer’s and Dementia Counselling. I want to support those who support others whether it be the ones they love or through the love of their job. It is hard to find a place to be safe, honest and true with your feelings as a carer. My goal is to offer you this space as your counsellor.
