What activities are there for residents?
We have a friendly, dedicated and professional team of house managers who run activities and events for our residents, but we also could not do it without the continued support of our team of fantastic volunteers. We like to go out and about, organising boat trips and also visiting local places including the local lavender fields. We hold an open coffee morning every Tuesday where residents, volunteers, friends and family all come together. We have entertainment on Thursday mornings including sing-a-longs, quizzes, poetry readings, interesting talks by visiting speakers, arts and crafts, conversation and reminiscing and many more.
What security is there for residents?
A manager and support team is onsite seven days a week. A House Manager is on site 09.00-15.00 during the week and overnight assistants are on site 22.00-07.00 each night to provide additional security and peace of mind. In addition we have seven hands-on trustees with a wide range of expertise supported by a committed and enthusiastic team of other volunteers.
Do you offer respite care?
Yes, we offer short-term respite and short breaks for carers by providing overnight stays.
Can my family and friends stay overnight?
We have guest facilities, and if we have room, visiting family and friends can stay over.
Can my family visit?
Yes – family and friends are welcome to visit you whenever suits, after all, this is your home.
Can I bring my car with me?
Yes, we have a car park, so bring your own car and you can explore the local and surrounding areas at your own leisure.
Will I have access to the internet?
Yes, we have internet access. Browse to your heart's content and use it to stay in touch with loved ones.
What meals are provided?
Enjoy a freshly cooked lunch and evening tea prepared by one of our friendly team of cooks in the company of your fellow residents, or your own friends if booked in advance.

We have two en-suite double rooms with kitchenettes which are suitable for couples.

We have 10 en-suite rooms with kitchenettes and two en-suite double rooms with kitchenettes which are suitable for couples. Start the day at your own pace, preparing breakfast yourself; you have your own front door allowing you to come and go as you please.

Conveniently located, we’re just a short walk away from Abbots Langley high street where you’ll discover a varied range of restaurants, post office, gift shops, bank, churches, doctors’ surgery, pharmacies, barbers, supermarket, to name a few. Neighbouring villages and towns include Kings Langley, Hemel Hempstead, Watford and St Albans. Kings Langley rail station has trains every 30 minutes to London Euston taking 25 minutes and the M25, M1, A41 and A414 are right on our doorstep for those wishing to travel further afield.
