1/ My car was driven for personal use whilst in their care
2/ Vinyl wrap finish extremely poor
3/ Vinyl wrap started the peel off and bubble after a few days
4/ Paint started to chip off after a few days
5/ Bubbles in window tint
6/ Damaged car. Including Dents, broken parts and cut marks
7/ Worst customer service ever experienced.

I’ve held back from feedback after a battle of over 3months. I’m a vulnerable customer (registered disability) and feel completely taken advantage of.

After agreeing a price and a colour, I transferred my deposit to an account in the name of “B Forrest”. I later find out this person is not the owner, nor was it a business account. After some investigation, I’ve since found out that Vision Automotive Leeds Ltd has had a compulsory strike off by HMRC. It’s a criminal offence not to inform a customer of this. (You can obtain further information from gov.uk. Company number 12440562)

It was agreed I would drop my car in on a Friday and it would be back by Monday. On arriving I asked see the colour. It was not the colour I’d asked for. I was then told the colour I wanted was not possible, after they had my deposit 🤦🏻‍♂️. I then choose another colour and was told someone would drive over to the distributor to collect. So I could still have the car returned by Monday. I call on Monday, to be told Tuesday. Tuesday, to be told Wednesday and so this continued for 10days. No communication from them, just me constantly chasing for updates.

I go to collect my car. I can see bubbles, dents and a cut into the seal of my rear window. (This is all one unit and cost approx £500). Window tints were not finished. They first deny any damage until I showed them photos of my car without damage in their lock up prior to work being carried out. As far as the vinyl issues, I was promised they would look to rebook the car in to remedy. No mention of how they intended to remedy the damage. I was pressured to leave a (positive) review, with Nick telling me Keeley won’t let me leave until I leave a review. She then took my phone to navigate to a review page, before being given my car key back. I deleted that review at my earliest opportunity.

After no communication, I again had to chase and chase…. and chase for updates. By this time the wrap started to peel away from the car and a huge bubble appeared on my bumper. The quality was embarrassing. I resorted to just turning up at the premises to discuss as I was felt ignored. I wanted the wrap removed and redone. I was told everything is “normal”, it’s not as bad as I’m making out.

After weeks of debating and rudeness I was then admitted to hospital where I stayed for almost 2months. I asked my partner to deal with the company. Eventually my car was rebooked, my car was left with them for 10days. In that time, nothing was done other then to superglue the window seal. What they did do however, was take full advantage of my being in hospital. Whilst in charge of my vehicle, it was being used personally with 131miles being driven.

Alas, the company finally admit the wrap needed to be replaced in full. A colour was chosen and the vehicle would need to be booked in. That was 5 weeks ago. I’ve since come out of hospital and chased for updates. I was told the car would have to be booked in to remove the existing wrap first. Given my experience I advised I would arrange for (professional) removal of the wrap, so would just need a date for fitting the new one. Surprise, surprise no contact.

When work began to remove the vinyl, it revealed further damage. Air vents had been broken off and “glued” back on (over the vinyl). Panels sanded down. Side mirror cover clips had Been broken. The list is endless. At this point I have totally lost trust in this company doing any further work to my vehicle. Not withstanding the damage already noted previously and the fact they had driven my car whilst in their care and it taking over 3months to get to this point.

I then request we negotiate a refund and discuss next steps. With this I’m greeted with;
“Do you really think we have time to be messaging”

Nick called my partner and after some time the choice given by Nick was to bring the car in for wrapping or take him to court. We opted for court.

A few minutes after the call, Nick messaged to apologise that it had come to this. My partner explained that he has had over 3months to remedy the issues, that I cannot trust the company and made a fair offer to advise I would accept ~70% of the total cost as a refund. (This is a fraction of the amount I would look to be claiming via court).

Suffice to say, since that offer 2 days ago, the only update received is, “I’m talking to the people and will be in touch soon enough”.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU GOOGLE THIS COMPANY FOR REVIEWS.
My experience is not isolated. Especially the driving of customer cars left in their care.
