What will my room be like?
We have eight bright ensuite rooms on the ground floor and one ensuite room with a shower cubicle which is used as our guest room. We also have an upstairs flat complete with a stair lift which would be ideal for a couple wanting to live together. Rooms are unfurnished so that you can bring along your favourite belongings and furniture to create your own home from home. Each room is equipped with a kettle, toaster and a small refrigerator.
What is in the local area?
The house is close to a bus route which will take you north to Glasgow and south to Troon and Ayr, where Robert Burns' birthplace is situated. Dean Park and Kay Park are both within walking distance of Abbeyfield House.
What age do I need to be to live in an Abbeyfield retirement home?
We welcome any person aged 55 years and over to live at Abbeyfield - whether you want to downsize, simply want to live in companionship with others, or no longer feel able to continue living in your own home.
