Yes – family and friends are welcome to visit you whenever suits, after all, this is your home.
Our staff prepare a two course meal every lunchtime followed by evening high tea, hosted in the dining room.
We have regular coffee mornings, afternoon tea and games. We do trips to the local wildlife centre and restaurants. We also run lots of events throughout the year such as garden parties and BBQs.
Laundry is offered as a service to all of our residents but there are facilities available should you wish to do your own.
We have ample parking for those who need it, and you are more than welcome to bring your own car.
Our home offers seven rooms, all of which have undergone refurbishment. Choose from either an apartment with a separate bathroom and lounge, or bedsit rooms with access to communal bathrooms located throughout the house. Each room comes with a small kitchenette, fridge and beautiful views over the gardens. We encourage residents to decorate their room with their favourite pieces of furniture, ornaments and photos to make your room a real home from home. There is also the possibility to repaint or hang your own curtains should you wish.
We welcome any person aged 55 years and over to live at Abbeyfield - whether you want to downsize, simply want to live in companionship with others, or no longer feel able to continue living in your own home.
