I contacted the owner of this business to ask if he could provide the dress that he has advertised on his website and he said whilst he does not have the same material, he can make the dress for me with a different material. I went to his store on Thursday, and I chose my material and he measured me for the dress and told me that the dress would be ready for the following Thursday and to return then for a final fitting and possibly leave with the dress. The only thing I needed to do was leave a £60 deposit which I did. On the day of the fitting, I messaged him and he said that the dress was not ready and then ignored my calls. When my daughter called, he was abusive to her and said it would take 10 days. He messaged me on the Monday night (10 days after initial first meeting) and said the dress is ready to be picked up. I went to the store on the Tuesday only to find the split in the dress had been put in the wrong place as well as the holes for my arms. I could not put my arms down as the holes were in front of the dress instead of the side. He said he would make amendments and to return the next day. I returned on the Wednesday, the split had been moved to the centre of the dress (still in the wrong place) and no alterations had been made to the arms. He then said he would refund my deposit, asked for my bank details but when I checked for the transaction and could not see it he said he would not be refunding it until the next day. The next day arrived and he has now said I need to make the 15 mile trip back to his store as he has made further alterations and has refused to refund the deposit. Please look at the pictures of what I ordered and what I got. To avoid distress and being out of pocket I would recommend trying another tailor as this one lacks, the ability to measure, tailor and has no customer service skills.
