The Plough Great Chesterford

The Plough is a traditional village pub located in the beautiful setting of Great Chesterford, situated on the glorious North Essex/South Cambridgeshire border. The pub started life as a row of cottages in the mid-eighteenth century, although there has been a pub in at least some of the building for more than 150 years. Ideally situated only 10 miles south of Cambridge and 4 miles north of the beautiful market town of Saffron Walden, Great Chesterford is a picturesque village with its own railway station directly servicing both London Liverpool Street and Cambridge, with the pub itself being within a mile off junction 9 of the M11. Our pub is traditional and the perfect stop off when exploring the surrounding East Anglia countryside attractions. The Plough has extensive facilities, large gardens with wonderful vegetables and herbs and plentiful car parking. Every day we strive to continue the excellent reputation the pub has gained over the years.
