Our summer house has a television, games, jigsaws and books that you can help yourself to. There is a large heated gazebo in the garden comfortably furnished and plenty of seating within the garden. There is also a greenhouse and vegetable patch for those residents who would like to do a bit of gardening.
We have 10 one-bedroomed apartments and nine bedsit rooms, each with ensuite facilities. The house has three communal shower/bathrooms, a dining room with outside decking, a conservatory lounge with Sky TV, a lower conservatory lounge and a quiet enclosed courtyard.
Abbeyfield House is a converted Victorian house set within beautiful walled gardens consisting of a multitude of plants, flowers and our wonderful summer house. The house is situated next to the town centre high street, close to local amenities such as Leigh market, shops and transport links enabling you to travel to surrounding areas. The local Wigan and Leigh Pensioners Link is in the next street and the Bingo Hall, Cinema complex and mobility centre are just a short walk away.
We welcome any person aged 55 years and over to live at Abbeyfield - whether you want to downsize, simply want to live in companionship with others, or no longer feel able to continue living in your own home.
